Founded in 2019 by Brad McHargue and Becky Sayers, Suburban Ghost is a Denver-based independent film production company focused on creating unique genre films with limited resources and a skeleton crew.

We've produced 15 short films and have a slate of feature screenplays in development. Our work has screened in front of audiences at Fantastic Fest, Fantasia Film Festival, Telluride Horror Show, Morbido Film Fest, Portland Horror Film Festival, Anomaly Film Festival, and more.

BECKY SAYERS

Armed with a clunky VHS camcorder, Becky fell in love with filmmaking at the age of thirteen in the rural Pacific Northwest. Countless short films and bottles of fake blood later, she’s gone on to write about the genre for sites like Dread Central; has written, produced, and directed two feature films; and was selected as a Shudder Labs fellow.

BRAD MCHARGUE

Inspired by his first visit to Fantastic Fest in 2009, Brad McHargue wrote his first feature, a found footage haunted house thriller. In the time since, Brad has honed his craft over the course of six features, one option, and a handful of finalist placements in screenplay competitions.

In the past he has contributed film criticism and commentary for the likes of Bloody Disgusting, Dread Central, and Fangoria, and has served as a host and programmer for the Telluride Horror Show, a 3-day genre festival nestled in the mountains of Telluride, CO, since 2011.
